Why I Like Youtube Artists More

I was listening to a famous theme song yesterday. To my horror, the artist sounded so different between her live version and her MTV version. Her voice sounded so angelic and soothing in the MTV but when it came to her live singing,  it was relatively bad. It reinforced the reason why I tend to respect some Youtube artists more then the more well known ones outside of Youtube. For one, quite a number of them do not have access to studio quality recording which can help tune the voice to sound nicer. For most of them, what you hear is the 'real' voice and not some artificial one that has gone through editing......

An Inspiration To All Of Us

Of late, I have been rather disappointed with my playing. It seems like despite all my practice, what I want to play still eludes me whenever I need it. Even as the temptation to give up lingers in my mind, I am reminded about the girl in the video above. When I look at her, I find it hard to give up on my dreams. If she, having so much less to work with can achieve so much in life, what excuse can I offer to give up?

Great Song From The Corrs

I have always enjoyed the music of the Corrs. I think they have successfully blended their Irish background into the modern pop, creating their own signature of music. I have recently become a fan of Irish traditional music and have always been a "pop" guy so I guess their music creates a different kind of high for me. Pity that they have so called gone separate ways in terms of their careers due to their family commitments. Really hope they can make a come-back soon. The dynamics they create as a family really sets them apart from most of the bands I know. The song above really depicts all I have talked about in this post. Enjoy......

Why this blog?

This blog is dedicated to penning down my musical journey as well as thoughts. I guess the full works will only come on late September since I am in the midst of preparation. What I am attempting to do is really big. Only God can pull me through this one. We'll see what happens. Also, I'll be featuring musical products I feel have helped me get to where I am today.
